Past Project
In 2018, Esmeraldo delivered 13 battery chargers and 25 backpacks filled with school supplies that were donated by an employer and different community members. These seemingly small contributions had a significant impact on the teachers and students who received them, but the school itself was in desperate need of repairs.
Current Project
- We trying to collect $1,500.00 to send medical supplies to send to Mansoa’s Regional Hospital to help the staff in the new COVID 19 variant combat. And if you can donate the following equipment instead, that will be greatly appreciated:
- Masks (NK-95, Reusable and discardable) are desperately needed
- Face shields
- Thermometers-no touch preferable
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Glucose monitoring devices
-We are working to publish a children's book in which 100% profit will be invested in our future projects, therefore partners or sponsors are needed.
-We are writing a short movie telling how people struggle to get an education in Guinea-Bissau, therefore sponsors or partners are needed. The profit will be invested to build the first local officially Library and other small infrastructure in the city of Mansoa.
Future Project
-we would like to provide an Ambulance to Mansoa’s Regional Hospital (urgency).
The city of Mansoa contains a regional hospital that covers five sectors, serving an estimated 226,000 locals. It faces a lack of logistical materials, like beds, laboratory supplies, and an ambulance to transport patients to Bissau, sixty kilometers away, for more intensive care. When the only one available Ambulance is being used, other patients must wait until it returns - which has led to preventable deaths and worsened
health conditions.
-We are collecting funds or building materials that can be used to build a new roof for Jugudul’s Elementary school and an additional classroom for Cusana's Elementary school, both are villages in Manson's rural area. Jugudul’s Elementary school is not able to operate sometimes during the rainy season, due to the condition of the roof, and as a result, students fall farther and farther behind. Cusana’s Elementary school is vastly overcrowded, and a new classroom would increase capacity by 12.5%, with a preference given to underrepresented student populations.
